When walking in London, I saw a lot of buildings being repainted. I found this fascinating, as in Japan, buildings are very rarely repainted. This served as the main inspiration for the dress.

First, I applied a tie die to the entire dress. The bottom part of the dress is painted in the same way one would paint a wall, with the pleats giving a nice striped pattern.

The print comes from a game I played with a friend while living in London.

When ironing, iron it only on the back of the fabric inside out, as the paint processing does not handle heat well.
